About The Conference
This year's conference takes the form of interactive sessions on the first day chaired by Bill Tolmie of Redwood Consulting Ltd. Delegates will be actively participating as often and as directly as possible with each of the following interactive presentations; Davy Snowdon of Pristine Condition will talk about the aspects of manual handling at height and in confined spaces, John Pooley will explain that there's more to the environment than carbon and Dr David Perl will discuss the power of positive thinking versus stress.
The second day will be chaired by Dr Deborah Allen, Deputy Managing Director, Corporate Responsbility with this year's Keynote Address being delivered by Raj Rajagopal, Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility for BAE Systems. The programme will then feature a presentation on the key elements of a safety excellence framework from Nick Hutton, Consultant for DuPont Safety Resources.
Later that morning, Neil Chapman, Head of Refining and Marketing Communications for BP will focus on the learnings from a tragedy when he speaks about the explosion at BP's Texas City refinery in 2005. This will then be followed by brief presentations about the sustainable procurement charter by Tina Perfrement, Consultant from Action Sustainability, Henrietta Anstey, Corporate Responsibility Manager - Environment for BAE Systems and Iain Brookes, Team Leader for the Procurement Office at the MoD.
The afternoon session will then begin with a dynamic and inspiring presentation by Jim Lawless with the event drawing to a successful close by Dr Deborah Allen.
