About The Conference

After collating feedback from the 2009 event almost 90% of delegates felt that the interactive element to day one worked extremely well.  As such we have chosen to continue the theme again this year.

The first day will feature interactive sessions explaining the origins of our behaviour and performance by Damian Hughes, Founder of LiquidThinker Ltd.  Damian is a former football coach who worked for Sir Bobby Charlton and Manchester United before working as a Human Resource Director for Unilever.

The second day will be Chaired by Danny Martland, SHE Lead Programmes and Support with this year's Keynote Address being delivered by Nigel Whitehead, Managing Director, Programmes and Support.  Other speakers taking to the stage during the day are; Judith Hackitt, Chair of the HSE; Tim Marsh, Managing Director of Ryder Marsh; Shaun McCarthy, Director for Action Sustainability CIC Ltd; Lawrence Waterman, Head of Health and Safety for The Olympic Delivery Authority and Paul Thomas, Chairman of the Railway Safety and Standards Board.

The day will draw to a successful close by our guest speaker, Flight Lieutenant John Nichol who was a tortured British prisoner of war in the first Gulf War.  John's message is one of optimism, inspiration and personal motivation.
